I Want To Kill Anthony Bourdain And Steal His Life
Here’s his wiki page. He’s so interesting! I want to be him when I grow up.
Also, I had no idea he has written so many books! Andrew actually got his first book for me, Kitchen Confidential, but I haven’t read it yet. I’ll for sure read it this month!
FAIL.
I did not read last night. Instead, I went over to Andrew’s place and we went out to eat. Berryhill - YUM. Then after dinner, I plopped in front of the couch and watched two episodes of Toddlers and Tiaras. That shit is cray.
Tonight I will read after I finish packing. We’re going to NOLA this weekend, Saturday - Monday. I think it’s going to rain, and I kind of hope it does, so I can actually wear my rain boots! LOL I’ve had them since October and not worn them once. That’s another fail.
The second book that I’ve been reading, nearly finished, is called The First Person and Other Stories. It’s weird. A few stories are good, but then others are like, wtf is going on! haha I think it’s too artsy for me to follow.
My friend, Kyle, recommended reading The Hunger Games, but I’m so intimidated by it. I’m afraid that if I start, I won’t finish because it’s so long. Not necessarily the first book, but since it’s a trilogy it just kind of scares me. Idk, I’m cray cray. lol Plus… the movies coming out soon, right?! I guess reading the book first would make it more enjoyable and being able to compare the book to the movie would be cool, but meh. I think I might just wait for the movie. :)
My first Reading Wednesday was a success! I did not turn on the tv or computer the whole night and it was so nice. During dinner, I sat at the bar and read a magazine. Note that this was the first time I have ever sat at the bar. I’ve been living in my apartment since June.
After I cleaned everything from dinner, I went to my bed and started reading Chelsea Handler’s My Horizontal Life: A Collection of One-Night Stands. It is absolutely hilarious; literally laugh out loud. I could not put it down and nearly read the whole damn book! I have, I think, four more stories to read tonight to finish it.
I have her other three books also, so I’m for sure going to start those in the weeks to come. I love my nook!
